I don't think not being a Captain of his own team is a huge factor. That's a decision that is made mainly by the coaches so I would hope that with Team Canada they form their own opinions based on what they see during Camp, not from what other coaches have decided. Like I said before I'm a huge Sid fan so I wouldn't be surprised or sad to see him picked. I'm just agreeing with Tracy that St. Louis would be a great choice as well.

Martin is a great choice! I'm a huge fan of Sidney but the way Martin conducts himself is second to none. I'd love to see him as commissioner way down the line, but that's a totally different topic. I'd be really disappointed if St. Louis isn't given a letter. Then again, that's all it is, a letter. It won't stop him from being a strong voice in the locker room and on the ice.

we dont really have any good wingers in our pipeline so we'll have to trade for them when we're not poor anymore i remember it taking him time to gel with line mates in vancouver - they switched him a few times. the lines that played best together had played together before on teams or at world junior championships. Is Marchand signed to bruins longterm? Yes he is, Marchand's current deal is through the 2016-2017 season. Not sure if they would trade him though. He's cleaned up his act off the ice and his style fits in pretty well with the Bruins model. Although with their management I wouldn't be surprised if he left.

I would imagine it would be really challenging to play on the same line as Sid. I know Duper and Kuni always talk about how he makes them better players and how it's easier with him, but they've been playing together so long that they've become accustomed to it. With Sid's skill level his linemates always have to be on edge, waiting for a no-look pass or any other incredible move Sid is sure to go. Seeing him work so well with Marchand, which I wouldn't imagine their playing styles mixing that well together, makes me wonder what Sid's line will look like in four years or so.

Since the forwards are such a high-scoring group, do you think they'll pay much attention to some of the defensemen that are known for scoring or shy away from that? I think Green would be a good fit for the squad (as long as he could actually stay healthy) but he's a great offensive-defensemen so I'm not sure if that would hurt him with this group.

I'm new on this site and I hope I'm not posting this in the wrong place-but I don't know where else on this board this kind of topic would go under. I'm sure many of us have seen Crosby and Marchand scrimmaging in Halifax. I hate to say it but I think they would make really great linemates. I feel like they read each other pretty well and have good reaction times. I hope we get video of them together for the Olympic Camp at the end of the month. What do you guys think?
