JM - I wouldn't go as far as to say Troy is smiling, it looks like he's trying to (it's half-smile, half-grimace), but not quite there yet. It's an improvement though.  |

He has the second best resting bitch face I have ever seen. The first place honors goes to my bffs husband Zach. Zach also looks like he is in pain when he smiles. I love it.

Troy always looks grumpy and totally has RBF. But I wonder sometimes if he's trained himself not to show emotion at SIDS games for some reason. He used to jump up and hug people and look so happy when Sid scored.
I can't make myself believe he isnt a good person just because of how his face is. He did raise Sid, and Sid is wonderful, so he has to be a pretty good guy to raise someone like Sid. Especially given that Sid could get away with being the biggest douche because of who he is and he isn't.

Sounds right. it comes to a point where you have to let him be a man but as a parent it must be hard seeing all the years of public criticism he has withstood. If your child is 7 or 27 you want to protect them.
I don't feel like the grumpy face means he's not a good person it is just such a contrast from his wife who is always smiling.

I just find it depressing that its so easy for people (i dont mean you guys i mean the tumblr asks today) to overlook all the clear evidence that he is a decent person which are reflected the qualities he and his wife have instilled in what seem to be two pretty excellent children. All of the things we like about Sid are values his parents gave him. Do they really think its an accident? Or that it was all Trina when Sid himself says he learned so much of how to behave from his dad? Even if it was a fluke and his dad was not a good person - why would Sid still to this day spend so much of his time with him? I just don't see any real basis for criticism there. If bad parents raise Sidney Crosbys then please Troy can you start offering "how to be a bad parent" classes online? I think they'd sell out. lol

Exactly LM, Troy came from a blue collar background. I read somewhere where Sid said that is parents did all different kind of jobs to make enough money ( and even then it wasn't enough) to pay for him to play hockey when he was little and to pay for all the travel tournaments, I think Sid learmed very young how sacrifices are done and learned from example to work hard in whatever you do, I really think that is his driving force in everything he does to just work hard to achieve what you dream you can do. That is the quality I admire the most out of the amazing qualities he has displayed.

LM I don't know what the tumbler asks are that you are referring to and by the sounds of it I'm glad I dont. People so often have nothing good to say. At least when he retires the masses will forget all the negative and remember him for the great talent he really is and hopefully him and his family will get the respect they all deserve.
