Wow...that was nasty! Good for Sid for sticking up for himself after, though. I don't like either team in the SCF but I'm leaning more towards the Hawks after seeing that. Bitch move, Chara.

i noticed the bruins selective bullying during the playoff games with the pens but that's uber low what Chara and Bergeron did. the 4th game Paille put sid flying on his back hitting his head with no penalty too. Wow!!! gotta wonder if the bruins paid off all the referees or bullied them to turn their heads. sid just earned a whole lot more respect from me for not saying anything about it to the media when they asked.

I agree May, he was a class act, he could´ve told him out and the media would have digged that during the series, not now! Did Bergeron do anything to Sid as well? I don´t remember, and heck if he did, they´re actually really good friends, Sid and Bergeron.

I read somewhere that someone high up referee person has a son who plays for the bruins. I can't remember where I read it or how accurate it was. Can someone confirm?

Such a bitch move. Maybe that's another factor to Sid's performance during the series :/ I'm really hoping that he can finally have a full, healthy and productive season!

I'm glad they found and released this footage. Everyone was blaming Sid, even on that "other board." There was a number of times when Chara went after Sid behind the net. It amazed me at that time that none of the pundits said a thing about why that scrum started. Chara is a hot head and his ego couldnt handle Sid calling him on it, which is why HE started yelling at Sid..and then the pushing started. The pens, however, failed Sid on the ice. After this happened, Murray or Engelland or both needed to go after Chara. No one did so Sid had to call him on it. Chara's lame response today was pathetic and embarrassing. He should have just manned up and admitted it but then again, chara is the same guy who slammed pacioretty, head first, into that stanchion. Go Hawks! Agree, it was disappointing to see a lack of response from the guys on the team who get ice time and are paid to stand up in situations like these. But I'm proud of Sid for not being afraid of that 6'9" ogre and standing up for himself. People ridiculed him and made it seem like Sid was afraid of him, but as far as I remember, the refs were having to hold Sid back and not the other way around. |
